More than One-Third of Americans Say Quality of Life is Worse than Last Year

Economic recession, job loss and medical concerns are top three reasons

Flemington, NJ, October 28, 2009 – Results from a new media study among 225 Americans revealed that more than one-third of respondents (35%) reported that their quality of life is worse now when compared to this time last year.

The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website on October 26 to obtain viewers’ perceptions of their quality of life this year compared to last year at this time.

Among those respondents who reported that their quality of life was worse this year, an overwhelming majority (90%) attributed it to the economic recession, while 46% cited job loss and 42% reported medical hardships.
