Docs' Level Concern over Potential H1N1 Flu Pandemic Reaches New High


Physicians rate government preparedness lowest since initial reports in April

Flemington, NJ, October 25, 2009 – A new national study among 572 physicians revealed that physicians’ level of concern regarding a potential H1N1 flu pandemic is the highest since initial reports of the virus in April.

The study was conducted during October 23-25 by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website, and the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion (MCIPO), as part of a series of studies which have been conducted since April to obtain physicians’ perceptions of the H1N1 virus.

Among the findings:

Please indicate your level of concern regarding the degree of the impact that
the H1N1 swine flu epidemic will have on you and your family.
Use a scale from 1 to 7, where 1 indicates "Not At All Concerned" and 7 indicates "Extremely Concerned."
