Americans Respond to Hillary Clinton's Pennsylvania Victory Speech

Clinton's PA Victory Speech
Undecideds Increase Support for Continuing Dem Primaries After Viewing Speech

Flemington, NJ, April 23, 2008 – A new national study conducted among 622 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents indicated that after viewing excerpts of Hillary Clinton’s victory speech there was a moderate increase in undecideds who reported that continuing the Democratic primaries is good for the party.

The study was conducted by HCD Research and the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion (MCIPO) earlier today to obtain Americans’ perceptions of video segments of Hillary Clinton’s victory speech last night following the Pennsylvania Primary.

While viewing segments of the speech, participants indicated their levels of agreement by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. Participants were also asked pre- and post-viewing questions regarding their support for Senator Clinton. I feel that Senator Clinton has the best chance of winning the 2008 election. Further, she seems to be more in touch with the ordinary people. Senator Obama seems to spend much of his campaign on deriding the main-stream voters. Senator Clinton on the other hand has the best chance to walk the middle line between Senators McCain and Obama.

I really do not think that Senator Clinton can do anything to change the oil prices. I don't know how she can even say that. Also, I don't think that she has had to worry about the price of things in a long time. Is she able to keep going? I don't know.
