After Viewing Johnston Interview All Parties Say Palin Was Not Honest About Reasons for Resignation

Levi Johnston Comments on Sarah Palin's Motives for Resigning
Majority agree with Johnston that Palin's resignation was attributed to money and endorsements

Flemington, NJ, July 15, 2009 – A new national media study among 311 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that the majority across all parties believe that Sarah Palin was not honest about her reasons for resigning as the governor of Alaska.

The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website on July 14, to obtain viewers’ perceptions of Levi Johnston’s interview on the Today Show in which he commented on Sarah Palin’s recent resignation as the governor of Alaska.

“Our automated response curves revealed an immediate drop in believability levels among all parties when Levi Johnston asserted that Palin would ‘take the money and run’ or entertain a reality show,” commented Glenn Kessler, president and CEO, HCD Research.

The study also revealed that 74% of Democrats, 53% of Republicans and 64% of Independents indicated that Palin’s resignation was attributed to money offers and endorsement opportunities. The majority of Republicans (59%) reported that they would support Palin if she were to run in the 2012 Presidential Election, which is identical to results from a July 10 study prior to Levi Johnston’s interview.

Among the study findings:

There is more to this story than we are initially hearing, be it from Palin or Johnston. It will unfold within coming months, and/or years.

It's a shame that Palin didn't use her position to further the causes of women's rights.

I think the public is more aware of Sarah Palin--and most people have mixed emotions.

There is no way this woman needs to run for any leadership role of our country. If she quits when the going gets tough then what would she do when we really needed her to lead this country and if she quit for the money, then at what price would she sell our country to the highest bidder. NO WAY would I support her.

I think she would be silly to run again, as she was not a very strong candidate this last time around.

I think there should be a comment section. For instance, I do think Levi Johnston THINKS he is being honest, but he's a kid and he's too young to know how everything really is. Some things just come with age. I think the media segment is also biased too. It only presents one side. For instance, if Sarah Palin wanted to leave to make more money, I don't see what's wrong with that. How many of us wouldn't quit our job to take a job making more money. So I think the survey is fine but has limitations too

Sarah Palin WAS the fat and wasteful spending in Alaska. She supported the Bridge to Nowhere until it became an albatross around her neck and then she lied and said she never did support it. She's the Governor who was forced to pay back thousands of dollars of tax payer money that she claimed as a per diem for living in her own home. When Palin became mayor of Wasilia the town was in the black. When she left, the town was millions of dollars in debt.

Why is the right wing always attracted to morons, cheats and liars?

Really? If Palin runs for the Republican nomination in 2012, pundits, including many Republicans, are predicting that she will split the party in two and this could even result in the destruction of the GOP. Some option, huh?

And even if she got the nod, she can't win because she can't change who she is. The McCain campaign doomed itself as soon as they chose Palin. Never before in American political history has a presidential campaign suffered such a meltdown over the choice of a running mate. Sarah Palin will still be the same moron in 2012 that she is now and will suffer the same fate in 2012 that she did in 2008.

Talk about the fact that it is really hard to be governor right now. Economically States are in a bad way, and as head of the state she is getting flack, at first glance it looks as if she couldn't (or didn't want to) handle the pressure

I try not to get my national or political news from teenagers. Whenever anybody makes a statement that casts somebody else in a bad light, I ask myself one simple question... "who stands to gain?"

If the answer to that question is glaringly obvious, then I take it with a grain of salt. 9.5% unemployment, national health care, captured American soldiers, Russian delegates thar outright refuse to shake the hand of the President of the United States of America *This didnt' even happen during the cold war), the UAW has become management and negotiator for labor... ad infinitum

There are just too many real issues to digest to deal with the gossip spewed by a jilted little boy in his quest for his 15 minutes of fame.

Sarah Palin will come back bigger and stronger than ever. If her resignation was attributed to money offers and endorsement, who are we to question her motives? It has nothing to do with dishonesty. Look at Obama making millions for writing a book about his father. And Hillary Clinton for making less than honest decisions with her White Water investments. I can name a few other democrat politicians who have not been honest, and are still in office!! After the evil, no-class, radical liberals trashed Palin for no valid reason other than jealousy, she made a smart move to protect her and her family. This kid Johnston, does not know what he's talking about. What to expect, he's still wet behind the ears. So enough already, get off Sarah Palin's back!!!
